Meet the Founder & Lead Consultant:
Kristie O’Brien, Ed.D
I founded Radiance Consulting with a simple belief: when multilingual learners are truly centered in policy, practice, and culture, they don’t just succeed—they transform the entire school ecosystem.
With 25 years in education—including 18 years in leadership and 11 years as a senior administrator—I help schools build systems where multilingual learners thrive. I have served as a Director of Learning & Teaching in the United States and as an International Vice Principal in an IB World School. These experiences gave me a deep understanding of the complex decisions school leaders face—and the frustration of hiring consultants who deliver rigid, one-size-fits-all formulas.
At Radiance, I provide bespoke, systemic solutions rather than cookie-cutter models. I specialize in integrating language development into rigorous, inquiry-based frameworks so that academic excellence and language learning are never treated as separate goals.
Grounded in a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) and deep specialization in Dual Language Immersion and English Language Development (ELD), I bring a systemic lens to every partnership. I believe multilingual learning is a school’s most powerful asset—and I am here to help schools build the systems that prove it.
